Traffic: changes and direction of travel
Summer 2025Traffic Updates: Road Changes and Driving Directions
- Via Lungo Boite: major traffic changes until September 7, 2025, due to works in the "Lotto 0" section.
- Northbound: road mostly open except for the fully closed section between Via del Parco and the school entrance, which will be inaccessible from both sides.
- Southbound: closed to general traffic. Only accessible to local residents up to the Crignes bridge. No transit allowed beyond that point.
- Via Guglielmo Marconi: ongoing roadworks with narrowed lanes. Drivers are urged to exercise caution and follow posted signage.
- Via dei Marangoi: closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic until July 3, between the junction with S.R. 48 delle Dolomiti and Pontechiesa.
- Cadelverzo hamlet: access from S.R. 48 currently blocked due to works at the Sliding Centre. Access via SS 51 through Cadin is required.
Public Transport - Summer Schedule
The Municipality of Cortina, in collaboration with Dolomiti Bus, is enhancing summer public transport to promote sustainable mobility and reduce vehicle traffic during peak periods.
- From August 1 to September 9, 2025: free access to the urban service for everyone, including lines 51, 52, and 54 on holidays.
- Until September 9, 2025: lines 1 and 2 will also run on holidays.
- Areas served on weekdays by lines 3 and 4 will be reachable on holidays via extra-urban lines 51, 52, and 54.
- The new summer schedule is available on the Dolomiti Bus website.
Free Shuttle from Acquabona Parking Lot
- From July 17 to September 9: every 30 minutes during the time slots 6:52–9:20 and 18:22–20:50.
- Line 2 bus remains active throughout the day until around 8:00 PM.
- From June 25 to 30 (during the Lavaredo Ultra Trail): shuttle every 30 minutes from 6:52 to 20:50.
Parking and Stopping Areas
To facilitate parking during the summer season, the Municipality has designated several areas across the town. Some are free, others are regulated with a parking disc or subject to payment to ensure rotation and better access to the center.

Alternative and Sustainable Mobility
The Municipality encourages both residents and visitors to use interchange parking lots when possible, and to prefer walking, cycling, or public transport in order to reduce traffic congestion during busy periods.
