Leave your car in the parking lot of Cortina’s local swimming pool, at the former Guargnè lifts, take the beaten road that runs along the former ski slope and continue for about an hour and a half to the Rifugio Mietres. You’ll be surrounded by woods and wonderful mountains: the Pomagagnon stands out imposingly behind the characteristic mountain hut, Monte Cristallo will be facing you, on your right you’ll see the Faloria and the Sorapis, and behind you the Tofane and the entire Conca Ampezzana. For the return journey, follow the same route as the outward journey.
For those who want to reach the Rifugio Mietres in less time, you can start from the El Brite de Larieto farmhouse and follow trail sign 211 to arrive at the mountain hut in just over half an hour.
