Beautiful, simple and safe route with a spectacular view of Pelmo, Tofane and Croda da Lago, through canals and woods, up to the rocky Formin plateau.
The hike starts from the Peziè de Parù bridge, where you can leave your car, following path 434. Entering the forest, the slope increases until you reach the Cason de Formin, a small, very characteristic wooden cabin.
When you reach the fork with path 435, take the latter and walk through the majestic Val Formin to the Forcella Formin. From here, bear right in a westerly direction going up the ridge until you reach the peak (2,657 m). From the top you’ll admire a wonderful view of the main Dolomite peaks, as well as of the nearby Croda da Lago.
The descent is via the uphill route: the wide valley allows everyone to find their own downhill track and make fun, wide curves.
The last part, in the woods, is a bit more uncomfortable but with fun snow conditions.
