Leave your car in the town of Campo di Sotto at the Lago Pianozes car park, take the beaten road in the direction of Malga Federa - Croda da Lago indicated by trail sign 432. Along the road you’ll reach the mountain cottage in about 2 hours and 6 km of walking. The cottage is in an enchanting location, in the middle of a clearing surrounded by woods and mountains, with wonderful views of the Conca Ampezzana: Croda da Lago and Becco di Mezzodì on one side, Pomagagnon, Cristallo and Faloria on the other.
You may continue along the same road for about an hour to the characteristic Rifugio Croda da Lago, overlooking the lake of the same name, but please note that during the winter season this mountain hut is closed.
For the return journey, follow the same route as the outward journey.
